ABOUT PIAZZOLA ANGUS RANCH
In 1960, Jerry’s dad, Dan, started raising registered Angus, and Jerry grew up helping and enjoying the Angus breed on the ranch north of Butte. After college, Jerry returned in 1990 and began artificially inseminating all cows, a practice he continues today. He focuses on maintaining moderate frame size in his bulls. At this time the cows are pastured south of Butte in the Highlands Mountains at 6,000 feet. The pasture is steep and rugged country, the cows are used to traveling for water and seem to be a good fit for ranchers with rough pasture.
